Cooper Green Design Becomes an Architecture 2030 Adopter
Cooper Green Design is proud to become an adopter of the 2030 Challenge.
As an adopter, Cooper Green Design joins other leading firms throughout the nation in an effort to meet the following energy and emissions targets:
- New buildings and major renovations will be designed to reduce fossil fuel energy consumption by 50% of the regional average for that building type.
- An equal amount of existing buildings will be renovated annually to use 50% of the fossil fuel energy that they are currently using.
- Fossil fuel reductions for all new buildings will be increased to:
- 60% in 2010
- 70% in 2015
- 80% in 2020
- 90% in 2025
- Carbon-neutral by 2030
